Exciting times for AFL Cairns as they modernise in the Information Age. The football league of Far North Queensland region has been going through a digital makeover. On the 30th of March they will launch a new website that has been in the making for over six months. The new website incorporates Senior, Juniors and Women’s football all in one home.

Coaches,officials, players, supporters and the public will be able to obtain fixtures, news, live scores and read the local Footy Record all in one place at www.aflcairns.com.au

After some further innovative thinking and research AFL Cairns decided to develop a Mobile APP. The APP called AFL Cairns is available for download through Team APP at either the App Store or Google Play. This is a great way to notify Coaches, Officials, Players and Parents in real time of changes or updates. Emails may only get checked once a day and and having notifications turned on is a way to be advised immediately.

President Gary Young said “everyone has a smart phone these days and a key function of the Cairns AFL APP was communicating at the highest level possible with the Community so that information is received timely”.
